Tax Pro was established in 1990 by Jim Bales and was originally known as James A. Bales, Accounting.  The firm began as a one-man operation performing bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation services.  Currently, Tax Pro employs one full-time staff accountant in addition to Jim, one seasonal tax preparer, and two tax season receptionists/preparers.

The philosophy of Tax Pro is to provide a common sense approach to business and tax planning that helps our clients save as much on their taxes as possible without putting undo strains on their financial condition.  Our clients are very important to us and we want to help ensure their security for a long time.  Successful tax planning involves taking a good look at long term goals and not just focusing on immediate needs.  Tax Pro is proud to now offer its clients a free interview and proposal from Secure Retirement Planners, Inc.  SRP, Inc. will review your current estate and retirement plans and make suggestions on how to preserve your assets through retirement while still taking an income from them and how to pass your assets to beneficiaries as tax-efficiently as possible.  They have established relationships with several tax practitioners and attorneys throughout the state to help develop strategic plans that are designed specifically for you.
